Terms of service

1. Service description

Ping Me If is an online watch service provided by Clément Guérin, sole proprietor (SIRET: 10028571700011), 43 Quai Malakoff, 44000 Nantes, France (hereinafter "Ping Me If").

The service lets you describe, in plain language, a condition you are waiting for. It periodically runs targeted web searches on that condition and sends you a single email when the condition is confirmed, with evidence and sources.

Some features rely on artificial intelligence models provided by third parties (understanding your condition, automated verdicts, writing the ping). Content submitted to those features is sent to those providers for processing. The web searches themselves rely on a third-party search provider.

2. Access to the service

Access requires creating an account, either with your email address (magic link) or through a Google account.

The service is intended for personal use. Users must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for any use made of their account.

3. Pricing and subscriptions

Ping Me If offers a free plan (limited number of active watches) and a paid plan (Plus). Current prices are displayed at the time of subscription.

Payments are handled by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you accept Stripe's terms. Ping Me If stores no banking details.

Ping Me If reserves the right to change its pricing with 30 days' notice by email.

No refunds are granted for periods already started, unless required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Ping Me If to:

• Publish or store unlawful or defamatory content, or content infringing third-party rights
• Monitor individuals or collect their personal data without a lawful basis
• Create watches that circumvent the access controls of third-party sites (paywalls, private areas) or that breach their terms of service
• Circumvent usage quotas or the technical limits of the service
• Carry out any illegal activity or anything that harms the operation of the service

5. Your content

The conditions you describe and the watches you create remain yours. Ping Me If claims no rights over them and uses them for no purpose other than providing the service.

You warrant that the conditions you describe and the use you make of the service comply with the rights of third parties, notably their personal data.

6. AI and automated checks

Understanding your condition, the quick verdict and the in-depth verification rely on AI models accessed through OpenRouter. Your condition and the search results are sent to those providers for processing.

AI output may contain errors. A ping is only sent when the condition is judged confirmed, but this remains an automated judgment: it is your responsibility to check the evidence and sources before acting on it. Ping Me If warrants neither the accuracy nor the completeness of the results.

7. Notifications by email

Pings are delivered by email through Resend. Each email contains a link that lets you stop the corresponding watch at any time.

8. Third-party services

If you sign in with Google, that service handles your authentication as an independent controller, under its own policies.

Payments are handled by Stripe. The terms of those third-party services apply to the corresponding usage.

9. Liability

Ping Me If is a technical tool. You are solely responsible for the conditions you watch, how you use the results, and the decisions you make based on them.

Ping Me If undertakes to provide the service with the reasonable care of a professional, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Its liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user over the previous 3 months.

10. Intellectual property

The code, interface and Ping Me If brand are the exclusive property of Clément Guérin. Any unauthorized reproduction or exploitation is prohibited.

Nothing in these terms transfers any rights in the service: a subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use for its duration.

11. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. The service remains available until the end of the period already paid for, then reverts to the free plan.

You may request deletion of your account and its data by writing to clement@mangue.work.

Ping Me If reserves the right to suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms, without notice or refund.

12. Right of withdrawal

Under Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from subscribing to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give any reason.

However, under Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, you acknowledge and agree that performance of the service begins as soon as your subscription is confirmed. You therefore expressly waive your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed within the withdrawal period.

If the service has not been fully performed, you may exercise that right by writing to clement@mangue.work. A pro-rata refund will be issued for the unused period.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the competent courts are those of Nantes.
